Week in Geek 02/22/08

Lots of announcements this week thanks to GDC. Let's get them out of the way.

Gears of War 2 announced, surprises no one.

Bionic Commando Rearmed gimped for 360.

What a bummer, I think it's time for Microsoft to drop that stupid download cap, and let developers free. Screw those folks without a hardrive, they are stupid, stupid people and don't deserve the yummy games.

Mariokart, WiiFit, and Wiiware this spring. The rest of the year? Dusty Wii's.

Portal 2 announced: There is a god, and he wants cake.

HD-DVD Vs Blu-Ray officially over. Hooray, now who wants to re-buy their entire DVD collection?

Smash Brothers Brawl sells more then WiiFit in Japan. Gaming not dead afterall?

Its nice to see GOW 2 coming out this year.  The DL cap for Live has been raised once, and i'm sure the restrictions will go away soon, especially if they start losing developers to the PSN.

sony lives! But seriously this looks to be the year where everything turns around for sony. So many huge titles. A shame about wii. Anyone else excited for wiiware? So much potential. Hopefully it will keep the dust away.

Sony? It's a shame people are still buying this console when the other two out there are infinitely better. If the games on Xbox aren't enough to make you buy it, Xbox Live is so fucking good it's in a completely different realm than Sony's crap PSN service.

Yeah, after Smash Bros and Mario Kart come out, I my Wii wont be touched for a while.  At least Smash Bros. should keep us Wii owners ocupied for a while.
