First details about Guitar Hero 2: Rocking the 80s

The first tracks have been announced for the new Guitar Hero 2 Expansion. Ign has posted the following songs:

I Wanna Rock - Twisted Sister

I Ran - Seagulls

Round and Round - Ratt

I Want Candy - Bow Wow Wow

Metal Health - Quiet Riot

Holy Diver - Dio

Heat Of The Moment - Asia

Even more interesting is the news that Rocking the 80s will be a PS2 EXCLUSIVE (for now anyways). Ouch for Xbox fans. The title will have 30 tracks and is scheduled for release this July.

Oh suuuure it'll be ps2 exclusive. I'm 100% sure it'll be downloadable for the 360 in no time flat.  Now if they'd only get off their asses and make a wireless controller...

So I hear the 360 controller works on the PC as well. I'm wondering just how good frets on fire is... any idea?

Oh yeah, the DL content is INSANE on the 360 version of the game. I don't really mind paying $2 a song (although cheaper is always better) but having to buy packs of 3 is insane. Oh well, i've got I and II for the PS2, so I don't need the 360 version, even if i'm turning into an achievements whore.

ive heard the best part of the 360 downloads is the advanced sound and co-op options on the old tracks. Doesn't matter too much to me. I think they should have released packs of 5 songs. 3 is too little.

I'd personally be much happier being able to buy individual songs and not being forced into packages. Honestly, there are quite a few songs on the first two that I won't ever play again, so i'd rather not have to buy 4 packs to get the songs I want

agreed, that would make much more sense. Of course they also could have released them by difficulty set. It seems pretty crazy that you would seperate Cowboys from Bark at the Moon.

I have a feeling that "I ran" will be a blast to play with friends. I wish ALL of the songs were master tracks. I still have nightmares of that awful Kurt Cobain voice. They have made SO much money on these games, I'm sure they could throw out a few more bucks. Pretty good chance that any big names (Metallica, AC/DC) will be on hold for GHIII.

Really would like some Pixies, Sonic Youth, and Dino Jr. but I don't think Harmonix is moving toward that direction in this one. Can we please have an College Rock/Indie Guitar Hero? I want to play Teenage Riot!
