Weekend Movies 05/04/07

FRESH: 64% 64% Spider-Man 3 - So the real question this week is not who will be #1, but how much will Spiderman 3 really make? It's been breaking records already in Asia and Europe. Good chance we'll see another record breaker. Personally, I'm a bit over the franchise, that doesn't mean I don't want to see it. Just maybe not opening weekend. Imax is a must,
ROTTEN: 35% 35% Lucky You - Sure, countering Spiderman 3 with a romantic comedy may pull in some numbers, It would help if the film even looked mildly interesting. I have a feeling this baby will tank.

I don't see what is so "evil" about disliking the Spider-man films. They are the type of films that are so sappy that repeat viewings lead to rolling my eyes while vomitting. Seriously, they may be fun popcorn flicks, but I would hardly consider them amazing films. That being said, I still really want to see this in the theaters. The first time is always a pleasure, I just won't be running for the DVD when it comes out later this year.

The only good comic book movie (not including graphic novels) was Batman Begins
