Twas a sad Easter for film geeks everywhere, when a film as cool and unique as Grindhouse gets beaten by "Are We Done Yet?" you know something went wrong. So what exactly happened? Well Grindhouse did have a few things going against it. A running time of 3 hours, a R rating (which is deserved), and overall this just isn't a mass market movie. Still it irks me that horror remakes and Sixth Sense wannabe's still bring in the crowds. I guess it's nice to know that The Reaping made a little less. Both Blades and Meet the Robinsons held pretty well for the week.

I could see Blades of Glory beating out Grindhouse, but Meet the Robinsons AND Are We Done Yet???  Maybe this will deflate Q's ego a bit. We can only hope.

I went to see Grindhouse at 8:30 on Friday night. I bought advance tickets expecting a sell out. Instead we entered a theater with about 25-50 people in it. I was a bit surprised.
