If Dreamgirls is a musical, why can't any of the songs win awards? I mean a song from a doc about global warming won. This is what happens when too many of your songs are nominated on the same bill. It splits up the vote.

I also cursed the stupidity at the screen about how Pan's Labyrinth could garner all of the respect and technical and artistry awards that it did, yet still not win for best foreign picture. I thought it had a chance even against non foreign pictures (ie; real movies).

Mellisa Ethridge's song is earnest but not a memorable winner in my book.

I'm happy for Marty! He is the best around.

Is it just me, or do you sometimes feel like you've seen the same person more than once on the "Recently Passed Away" montage?

Pan's should have cleaned up, but it still did well and they'll be able to put "Winner of 3 Academy Awards" So that's good. To be honest, I haven't seen any of the other movies nominated in the Foreign Language category, so I can't bitch too much.

Little Miss Sunshine best Original Screenplay? Nope, I loved the movie, but it's not as good as Babel or Pan's. Oh and Marky Mark got robbed.

maybe the academy forgot that Pan's Labyrinth was much more then just something pretty to look at. Im pretty sure the script was one of the best this year.
