Is the Wii Dangerous?

So I was playing Zelda on wii last night, and in the middle of the heat of battle I swung and slammed my Wii-mote into the coffee table and almost knocked over a glass of red wine. While it may seem like a minor accident, reports around the country (or the internet) have showed several people having similar accidents. There is even an entire blog about the dangers of Wii-motes becoming guided missles on http://www.wiihaveaproblem.com/. Broken TVs and windows seem all to common, thanks to sweaty hands and faulty wrist straps.  It's true our living rooms were never meant to become bowling alleys or tennis courts, but is the Wii really dangerous? How soon till we hear about Wii related injuries? Hold onto those remotes people!

PS - In related news, Sauer officially has Zelda fever. This sickness consumes hours away from daily life, and causes a severe lack of sleep.  Be warned!!

I wonder if those controller skins would help this.  I'm sure they'll reinforce the straps soon.

Just think, this is the biggest problem Nintendo has!  I'd say that's a great launch.

i played baseball last night ofr the first time. corndog and sauer were on my team and the only batters to hit homeruns and have a hit at every at bat. its true, i swear it. but most importantly, i didnt throw my wiimote through the tv even with my wild swinging action.

ps. baseball is not extremely fun. and tennis gets more fun the more you play. as the skill level goes up, it gets vrey hard and the lpayers move faster so not as much stupid movements happen. it really relies on good placement and spin on the hits to win.

Our Miis are better at baseball than the actual players...awesome!

We sucked royally when we played, could barely hit the ball. The timing is totally different than tennis.
