Sony announces highest profit loss in 5 years

According to Next-Gen, Sony is expecting it's losses to be even greater then originally expected. This is mainly due to all those laptop batteries they will be replaceing, along with the production issues of the PS3. Forcasts are showing a 50 billion yen drop in profits. Ouch. With all these problems, wouldn't make more sense to just hold off on releasing the PS3 till next year? Europe already has to wait anyway, why not launch full force, when the systems are ready? Did I mention the PS3 is $600?

Yeah, the PSP isn't exactly helping them out either. I can't believe I even own one. I use it more for the flash games and Homebrew than actual PSP games.
