Weekend Movies 09/29/06

ROTTEN: 41% 41% The Guardian - Um, what is with Kevin Costner and his "The <insert profession>" movies? I mean The Bodyguard, and my personal favorite The Postman (WTF was he thinking?) were both terrible, do we need to see him in another career change?
ROTTEN: 32% 32% Open Season - Put another CGI in the book for 06. It's times like this where I'd wish we could get an actual non CG animated flick.

ROTTEN: 22% 22% School for Scoundrels - Chances of this being good are slim. I like how the producers have added Ben Stiller's cameo performance in all the trailers. If it has Ben Stiller in it, it has to be funny, Right? Oh I forgot about that total turd of a movie Greed.

Next week we get to see Dane Cook work at Costco, Scorsese remake an asian crime story, and another Texas Chainsaw Movie. Leatherface is the new Jason Vorhees.

Dane Cook has got to be the new someone. Hes everywhere and hes been really NOT funny everywhere he has been recently. Its like he had some good jokes, used them all and then used the comedic capital he gained to force himself on the world.  And to me, Texas chainsaw and excorist are running in the same path.

I agree that Dane Cook is overrated. He released one really funny comedy album, and now he's all over the place. His road trip show on HBO was awful. I know people that are actually starting to hate him because he's everywhere right now. I think Mike T really likes him, of course he never reads my blog so.. A TCM sequel makes sense. An Exorcist sequel, not so much. I can't wait to see how they make Day of The Dead even worse then the original. Which was pretty bad.
